A group of immigration advocates, faith leaders, and Japanese internment camp survivors recently completed a pilgrimage to a detention facility. The four-day journey covered 45 miles and ended at a federal family detention center outside of Dilley. The activists are demanding the closure of this facility, which is the only one of its kind.

The group consisted of roughly two dozen individuals, including survivors of Japanese internment camps and their descendants. Further details about the pilgrimage and the activists' demands are available from local news sources, including KPRC 2 and Click2Houston.
